MY STORY

A 27-year-old Arab Canadian creative, born and raised in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E, and currently located in Toronto, Canada.

I worked in various digital marketing capacities (e-mail, web, blogs, client relations, etc.), before settling into social media. As a social media manager, I get the opportunity to shape brand stories and connect with global audiences. Nothing lights me up more than helping brands make bold moves and nurture genuine connections to drive substantial business growth.

On any given day, I’m probably crafting social media strategies, creating branding and social guides, producing impactful content, or coming up with new concepts and big ideas for digital campaigns.

I thrive on the ever-evolving nature of the dynamic digital space, and I’m continually inspired to explore innovative ways to make a lasting impact.

Since I was just a little girl, I’ve been enamoured by the creative space. Growing up, if you’d ask me what my dream job was, I would’ve told you I wanted to be an artist! Only one small problem… I wasn’t particularly talented with a paintbrush or a pencil. So I did the next best thing—I logged into my MySpace account and spent days customizing my profile (even experimenting with HTML and custom elements). I loved EVERY second of it, and there began my journey in the social media and creative industries.

I committed myself to learning all that I could about media, information, communication, and multimedia design. I pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Media, Information, and Technoculture and a minor in Film Studies from Western University. In 2019, I completed my studies with a Master of Arts in Communication and New Media from McMaster University.
